Buccawidden Tales from Clay Country Workshop 10:30am – 3:30pm, Aylmer Square  

You are invited to come and share your story with ceramicist Zenna Tagney and artist Merran Coleman in a fun workshop that will explore Clay Country tales and folklore through storytelling, drawing and sculpture with local clay.

Buccawidden: Tales from Clay Country, is a project organised by Cornish artist Zenna Tagney, aiming to gather stories and folklore from Clay Country in order to gain insight into the culture and history of this fascinating area. Zenna has teamed up with the Whitegold Festival and illustrator Merran Coleman to put on a series of workshops. People are invited to come along and help investigate the myths and history lying beneath the clay, by sharing their stories and memories of the area.

The workshops will include storytelling, illustrating, and sculpting characters using local clay.

Workshops are free to attend and open to all ages.
Saturday 7th September – Rescorla Centre, Rescorla, 10.30am–12.30pm
Saturday 14th September – Clay TAWC, St. Dennis, 10.30am–12.30pm
Saturday 21st September – White River Place, St. Austell, as part of the Whitegold Festival. ‘Drop in any time’ rolling workshops, 10.30am–3.30pm
